I have a question for you. Have you considered investing in the stock market? Overwhelmed by the concept and have no idea where to start, what questions to ask?
So here I am, 6am on Labor Day (yes a holiday!) launching a blog about dividend investing. I’m not an investment professional. I’m just a girl with a brokerage account that turned into an accidental dividend investor trying to share what I’ve learned and make this whole concept less scary. I’ve earned stock since I was about 5 (thanks to my parents) and purchased my first stock when I was 18 or so. Some things have gone well, some things less so.
Why am I doing this blog? To share what I’ve learned and help make this whole idea of investing less scary. Seriously, I didn’t like the findings of Fidelity report I read the other day (or the news reports that a lot of people in this country are not taking advantage of the market potential) that women don’t know where to start, don’t think they have enough money to start, or know the questions to ask to start.
Remember, you should always do your own research (and contact a certified professional – either accountant or financial advisor for more information about your specific situations).
